Assault pioneers are the big boom.
Misuse of explosives (e.g. deadman's switches/purposeful misuse of explosives/repeatedly bringing the wrong explosives) is a serious offence and will result in the player being removed from Assault Pioneer Cert and banned from re-training.

All minefields will be marked clearly on the map by zeus with a red hashed box & red flags. It is the duty of the assault pioneer to devise a plan to move through the minefield.
Approach the start of the minefield and place a GREEN flag on either side of the area to be cleared.
Equip the VMM3 in your sidearm slot
Ace Self Interact > Equipment > Metal Detector > Activate & Attachd Headphones
Use audio queues to find the mines using a sweeping motion to cover the widest area possible
Ctrl + C will put you into walking mode which is recommended.
Once in walking mode move forward sweeping in a cone in front of you while listening for audio queues.
Due to the way Arma works, it is most accurate in first person.
After approximately 50 meters, plant a RED flag at the left and right most cleared section.
Once the minefield has been passed, place a GREEN flag on either side of the area cleared.
This will give the rest of your squad clear indications of where to move in the minefield and where it starts and stops.
Ensure a defusal kit is in your inventory.
Approach the mine in first person while prone, the following will trigger the mine:
Crouching or standing near the mine
Touching the mine in any position (even prone)
Using the ace interact button, select the Disarm option.
Once disarmed the mine may be picked up and reused with permission from the SL/TL.
If the area is clear and the minefield is extensive, explosives (or artillery) can be used to clear a large area, this should only be carried out when the area is free from objectives and friendlies.
Clean explosive usage with you Squad leader or above!
Using Ace Self interact, select explosives then the most appropriate explosive for the job.
Using ace interact on the placed explosive, select Firing Device to connect your M57 to the explosive.
Place an orange smoke on top of the explosive and inform anyone in the area to move out of the blast radius.
Once clear, confirm with your squad leader before detonating the explosive.
Once the all clear is recieved from your Squad Leader or higher, using Ace Self interact, select the M57 device and detonate all.
If at any point your explosive is not required, you can approach and disarm it then pick it back up again.
More advanced fortifications are available to the Assault pioneer over the normal trenches of the infantry.
Using Ace Self interact, select Fortify then select the light fortification required.
Repairing a vehicle requires a tool kit.
Using ace interact select hover over the required part to repair until a spanner (wrench) appears, select the icon and wait for the repair.
In the event that multiple modules require repairing, hover over the centre of the vehicle and select "full repair", this takes longer than single module repairing therefore should only be used when more than one part requires repairing.
If a vehicle is not showing as a wreck, it can be repaired an reused. If you cannot repair it and require the vehicle, you may call in 1st Centuria Logistics to repair the vehicle.
It is not always prudent to walk into a bases front door, where barbed wire or a wire fence is present, it is possible to cut the wire, this can be carried out by ace interacting on the wire and selecting "cut wire".
